Tai Tzu Ying recently uploaded her training video on her instagram. She wrote a caption to thank her coach, Wan Chia Hsin. She said “thank you coach Wan for always trains my defense with a heavy hammer”.
Wan Chia Hsin is currently 26 years old. He used to be men’s singles player. In 2013, he defeated Chou Tian Chen in the national ranking competiton. However, because his international carrier was not so good, he chose to retire early.

The world number one, Tai Tzu Ying fell into a championship drought last year for half a year. Until the most familiar coach, Lai Chien Cheng resigned as the national team head coach and returned to “Team Tai” to work with another coach, Wan Chia Hsin, physio Wang Shih Ting, and physical trainer Fan Tsangyu. They have arranged a training plan to help Tai Tzu Ying gradually return to the top. Since the Denmark Open last October, she has advanced to at least the semifinal at the world tour event and won two championships.
